Kept Under Wraps: Part Two

Part two opens with Nurse Elise sensing the heat coming off Kino. The way he watches her breaks the rules she keeps. She decides to shut that down hard. She grabs a thin wooden stick and starts working it over him, bone by bone, asking each time if it hurts. Kino howls when she hits the fractures, the sound raw and sharp. She doesn’t soften her touch. Next she takes a clear plastic bag, slips it over his already wrapped face, and seals the neck tight with thin rubber tubing. She watches the plastic suck in and out while he fights for each breath. His lungs measure up. Once she’s sure he’s stable she walks out, leaving him bound and sealed, heading off to lunch with the other nurses like nothing happened.
