To Breathe or Not to Breathe: A Demo

Elise sits locked in the Serious Bondage chair, shoulders pinned, wrists cinched, thighs spread. A black gas mask seals her face, leaving only wide, glassy eyes above the rubber. Under her bare sole rests a steel foot-switch wired to a motorized valve. Every time her toes press it, the valve opens; lift that foot and the airway slams shut. A helper slides a feather under her arch—her leg jerks on reflex, the valve snaps closed, and the mask goes silent. An electric blower roars in, pushing a slow stream of bubbles through a water jar so everyone can see the exact moment air is flowing—or not. She gasps, foot slams down again, bubbles rise, then vanish when the tickling resumes. Eyes roll, lashes flutter, chest fights the straps. Every twitch writes a new line in this tight, brutal game of breathe or choke.
